    Hi Matt,

    Your activity is easy to read and follow – I could do this lesson just by reading what you have here. I have a couple of questions though – what if your student doesn’t have a smartphone (not sure if this is something all kids have or not – I’m definitely not ‘woke). Does STRAVA or the other apps require data or internet access to upload their information? I was looking at your universal design and just thought these may be challenges to some of the kids.

      Thanks for the comments.

      The idea that not every student has a smartphone is something that I have thought. However, I did some non formal research in my school and asked many grade 11 and 12 students if they have a smart phone or not. I have yet to come across a student who doesn’t have one. With that being said, I’m sure it will happen and I need to be prepared for that. Currently, I do not have a solution for that situation if it arises. So I should get on it. As for the data while using the app. You actually do not need the data to use your GPS location tracker. So students could start the movement at home and while they run it will still track without a data source. I thought that was a pretty cool feature.
